Terms of Use

The short version: everything you write belongs to you, and we don't claim it. In return we expect you not to infringe anyone else's rights and not to abuse the community. The details are below.

About this translation

This is an English translation of the Turkish original, provided for convenience. The Turkish text is the binding version; if the two ever differ, the Turkish text prevails. When you open an account, you accept the Turkish text. This translation corresponds to version 1.3 of the Turkish text, in force since 2026-09-11.

1. Scope of these terms

This text sets out the conditions for using the Senaryo Okulu platform (senaryookulu.com and its pages), operated by PARTHENİA MEDYA. By using the site you accept these terms.

If you don't accept the terms, you should not use the site.

2. Account

Lessons, curriculum pages, Senaryum, Film Lab, the Library, the Agenda, reading the Community and downloadable templates can be used without an account. An account is needed to download and save what you make, open more than one project, post in the community and continue where you left off across devices.
When opening an account you must use an email address that is accurate and your own.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure. If you notice that your account is being used without your permission, let us know.
When you open an account you also appear in the community; your shown name is the name you entered at sign-up. You can change this name on your profile until your first post; after that it is fixed — because your earlier posts are tied to that name.
Names that impersonate someone else, mislead, or target another person may not be used.
One person opens one account. The owner of a banned account may not come back with a new one.

3. What you write belongs to you

The intellectual property rights in the screenplays, loglines, scenes, ideas and any other text you produce on the platform belong to you. We don't claim, sell or assign them to third parties.

If you don't have an account, what you write in Film Lab and Senaryum never reaches our servers; it stays in your browser's own storage. If you do, these texts are stored with your account so you can continue where you left off on another device. Storing is not claiming: we gain no right to publish your text, show it to anyone, use it commercially or use it to train AI.

For the posts and comments you knowingly share in the Community, you give us only this limited permission: to display the content on the platform, to moderate it and, for public posts, to let it appear in search engines. This permission does not include any right to use the content commercially. When you delete your post, this permission ends too.

4. Our content

The lessons, Library articles, sample screenplays, templates and the site design belong to Senaryo Okulu. You are free to use them to learn personally; you can use the downloadable templates in your own projects.

To copy lesson content in bulk and publish it on another platform, sell it or make it part of your own educational product, you must first get written permission.

5. Unacceptable uses

Sharing someone else's copyrighted text as your own work.
Posts containing insults, harassment, hate speech, threats or discrimination.
Spam, advertising, chain posts and mass promotion.
Straining the system with automated tools, trying to bypass security measures, trying to access someone else's account.
Sharing other people's personal information without permission.
Sharing illegal content or using the platform for an illegal purpose.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We reserve the right to remove content that breaks the rules and, where necessary, to suspend or close accounts. In serious violations (threats, harassment, illegal content) action may be taken directly, without a warning.

If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal through the Contact page (the page is in Turkish); appeals are reviewed.

7. Continuity of the service and changes

Senaryo Okulu is a product that keeps being developed. Features may change, be added or be removed; the service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical problems.

Some features may move to a paid tier in the future. Such a change is announced in advance and clearly; something that is open today is not closed without notice.

Your progress and your writing are stored both in your browser and with your account. If you delete your account, the copy on the server is deleted too; that is why we recommend exporting important texts from Senaryum and keeping a backup on your own computer.

8. Limitation of liability

The platform is for education. The information provided does not replace legal, financial or professional advice; for example, content about filming permits or contracts is general information.

The service is provided 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we cannot be held liable for indirect damages.

The member who posts content in the Community is responsible for it.

9. Personal data

How your personal data is processed is explained in detail on the Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice page. That text is an integral part of these terms.

10. Governing law, version and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

The version in force is 1.3, in force since 2026-09-11. For material changes the version number is increased and an announcement is made.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns the rights to the screenplay I write?

You do. The intellectual property rights in the texts you produce on the platform belong entirely to you; we don't claim them, use them commercially or assign them to third parties.

Can I use the lesson content in my own workshop?

Learning from it personally and using it in your own project is free. To copy lesson content in bulk and publish it on another platform, sell it or include it in your own educational product, you first need written permission.

What happens to my writing if my account is closed?

Your texts also live in the browser you use, so they stay with you on that device; you can also download them to your own computer from Senaryum at any time. The copy kept on the server with your account is deleted when the account is closed. Your Community posts are also removed when the account closes.

Will there be a paid tier in the future?

Some advanced features may move to a paid tier in the future; such a change will be announced in advance and clearly.
