The Senaryo Okulu App

The app is the phone version of senaryookulu.com: the same lessons, the same account, the same Film Lab. The difference is that the lessons are installed on your phone, so you can read them without an internet connection, and your progress isn't lost when you clear your browser history. On iPhone it's in the App Store. The version in the store today has a Turkish interface; English has been added to the app and arrives with the next update. On Android the app isn't on Google Play yet.

On iPhone

• Open the App Store on your iPhone and search for “Senaryo Okulu”.
• Tap Get. When the install finishes, the app appears on your home screen; updates come through the App Store.
• If you already have an account on the site, sign in with the same email and password: your lesson progress and Film Lab projects come over to the phone.
• The current store version shows its interface in Turkish. Until the update with English arrives, the English site works in Safari — see below.

On Android

The Android app isn't publicly available on Google Play yet. Until it is, use the English site in Chrome and add it to your home screen: open senaryookulu.com/en, open the menu (⋮) and choose “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”. It opens full screen like an app; the only thing it can't do is show lessons without a connection.

What changes in the app?

• Lessons can be read offline — they come inside the app, so a train or a plane makes no difference.
• Progress stays on the phone: clearing your browser data no longer wipes it.
• You leave the in-app browser of social media apps, where your place was lost the next day.
• Your account, your Film Lab projects and what you've written in the Community are the same as on the site — you can switch between the two.

Adding the site to your iPhone's home screen

If you'd rather not install the app, open senaryookulu.com/en in Safari and tap Share → Add to Home Screen. It opens full screen, in English; lessons just aren't available offline — that's only in the app.
